In all of our past experiences renting in Key Colony Beach, we have never had a problem with American Caribbean Real Estate. In fact, we have rented several different half-duplexes on Key Colony Beach ever since our son was 7 years old and most recently through Leslie Christiansen who manages our favorite place (which we now reserve a year ahead). We prefer renting in Key Colony Beach because of their strict rules (who needs partiers next door?), and, we can count on a very clean and well organized vacation home when we check in. My wife always does the towels while we pack before check out on Saturday morning, as per our contract. We have never had an issue with our security deposit, let alone with the Police. These are not motel rooms, they are beautiful well equipped vacation homes. We rent all years a property in the keys and the last time we selected a property manage by “America Caribbean Real Estate“ and it was the worst experience we had in our entire life. They had a complete lack of responsiveness. We call several times to get the wireless key to connect to the internet until we desists, so at the end we have to use our smart phones to navigate on the network. Last day, in the checkout, they call the police department of Key Colony City to count heads to see if we have more persons that the ones included in the contract. Beside the very bad attitude of the police, in front our children, we were 8 instead of the 9 in the contract. Ridiculous!!! The agent, named Leslie Christensen, was the most un-professional real estate agent we had sought in our life. They took 25% of the deposit because the cleaning company have to use more laundry loads as the expected. DO NOT Recommend!! Our family rented a boat, two jet skis and kayaks and we had a wonderful time! The equipment was in excellent condition and it really did enhance our Christmas vacation! Everyone had a great time playing on the water! Thank you to all of their staff for helping us with navigating around the area! We found great places to fish and a couple of good restaurants to go to on the boat! We have rented boats before and this, by far is the best company we have dealt with.
