When the economy crashed, I fell behindI on payments for my mortgage and I received a preforeclosure notice. This notice was sent to the hOa and they in turn sent it to the attorney. I paid off the mortgage and took the home off preforeclosure status. I received a$1300 bill from the attorney. This was the fee he charged to read the preforeclosure notice and the satisfaction of mortgage note. I went to the office to ask for an itemized list of chsrges and first he woudl not see me unless I paid him $350 for an hour of his time. The paralegal could not provide me with an itemized list of costs "It is for writing and reeading the letters and copies made" $1300? Really? Where do they make their copies I wonder that they pay $65 for, I disputed the charges and they NEVER called me back, responded to my dispute. Two years later after I have incessantly tried to resolve the issue, they send me a bill for $200 threatening to add more fees and foreclose if I don't pay off at once. Really???? Would not have this guy represent you in a divorce proceeding. He has me locked into a non-modifiable agreement that is no longer tenable in this economy. Alimony reform is being discussed but won't help me because of this idiot. Other divorce attorneys snicker when his name is mentioned. ...read more

Ms. Ragan demonstrates poor communication, fails to return phone calls, is not aggressive in arguing points to obtain favorable outcome in court, and does not object to opposing counsel's questions or statements when appropriate. The opposing counsel was able to constantly object to her actions in court, and these objections were almost always sustained by the judge. Ms. Ragan was VERY good at billing me for every little e-mail, but was not good at actually accomplishing anything. To the contrary, it seemed that she was prolonging my case to obtain ongoing fees for her poor representation of my case. In court, it was not uncommon for her to just sit and listen to opposing counsel present an argument, while she sat idly and did not object or mount a defense. I would highly recommend anyone involved in a family matter or contested divorce to seek legal representation elsewhere. ...read more
