I would give this zero stars but that is not an option. Where should I start, maybe with the racist hoodrat director of nursing Sunshine (the destroyer). Not only is she not qualified to be a DoN but is soley responsible for the utterly dismal attitude of every employee. After all, to Sunshine the destroyer...if you're not black then you're wrong. Now the floor nurses, while there are a few that I would trust with caring for my loved one...there are very few at that. No one there seems to be able to work together. Employee attitude seems to be an all for none and every one for themselves point of view. And I will not even go into the cna problem that place has...if you can find a cna. And don't you dare take any grievence to a man named AJ. That man has the spine strength of a jello mold. He cows down to anything the destroyer says. So basically if you happen to complain about the way your loved one was treated he would tell you he will take care of it as he runs to the office to hide from the destroyer. Notice the common theme of every issue in this review....the DoN Sunshine the Destroyer. If the company would just fire her for incompetence, which is the only thing she does right. Well then maybe Wedgewood could once again be a good place to care for your loved ones in their time of need. ...read more

The facility is only concerned with making money. The new administrator is a total Jerk! He has absolutely no compassion towards his residents and has been heard screaming at employees and families. There should be no place in healthcare for someone who isn't there to help. If you want to run it like a business learn the concept of customer service! ...read more

If you are looking for a rehab center or nursing home, take a tour and look at the place for yourself. We have been very happy here, and have also witnessed some families have a hissy fit over what they thought was unfair treatment which was really more their guilt and fear over their loved ones being sick. I've seen these same people have their dad stay for months and leave thanking the staff for all their help and the wonderful experience they had. Just like everywhere, some people and families are nasty and take it out on the staff. It's not the Ritz Carlton, and your dad doesn't have a personal chef or sitter. The place is clean, the staff care. Nothing is perfect - look at other places and see if they are any better, and I don't think you will find that to be the case. ...read more
