I needed a new keyboard and fan replaced on my Laptop. Christa did an awesome job and had my laptop ready within an hour! Runs like new. Never thought it could run this good. After removing your Sim Card and shaking out the excess water you can easily take a hair dryer on low heat to quickly dry out the moisture. It's very important to not heat up your phone excessively. It's safest to hold the hair dryer about 4-6 inches away from your iPhone. Your goal is to dry out the water and not excessively heat up the internals. Be sure to keep moving the hair dryer around the iPhone and to not stay in one spot for more than a few seconds. If you feel uncomfortable using a hair dryer on your iPhone then you can use rice.Why rice? It will absorb the extra water left inside of your iPhone. Why rice? After the waiting process, plug the phone into a charger. If the charging symbol comes on, then there is a good chance that the phone will likely boot itself back on when enough of a charge has been reached. Congrats – you did it! It's still a good idea to get your iPhone's logic board cleaned as corrosion can and will build up in your iPhone.If you do not see anything on the screen within 3 minutes of plugging it in, then unplug it from the wall without attempting to turn it on. Your only hope is to try a professional repair shop at this point.Other tips and advice:• If your iPhone is still covered under an Apple Care Program, go first to the Apple Store in Orlando or Tampa or call AppleCare. You may be able to get it replaced for as low as $199. We are hearing more and more that Apple is being more lenient regarding situations that involve water damage. (It also helps to be REALLY nice to the people at the Genius Bar.)• Also, if you bought your iPhone from Best Buy, or used a credit card that offers protection, then you may be able to get some of your money back or get the phone replaced for free.
