needed a last minute ride to the airport, and i called this company. i spoke to warren, and he understood, that i was rushed and assured me i would be picked up within 10 minutes. In seven minutes, my driver Bill showed up, and got me to the airport, with 20 minutes to spare. I called the night before Thanksgiving to make sure they could pick me up from school and take me to the train station so I could be with my family on Thanksgiving. I was assured they were working and would be there at 8:15am as requested. At 8:30 I called to see why they were late and was told they were on their way. At 8:40 I was told the were in front of my dorm. I was in front of my dorm! At 8:45 I called again and was told that the truth was they had never reached a driver! No one was coming! I called for a cab and, after listening the usual voice saying that all agents are busy...please hold the line...a lady told me that the cab was picking me up in 10 minutes. After 25 minutes obody was coming. Called back Checker Cab and the same lady told me that in two minutes the cab had to be there. Another 10 minutes passed and nobody arrived. I called again and another lady told me that the cab was stucked into the traffic (??? False!!!) and in ine minute the cab had to pick me up. After 15 minutes I was fed up! Called again and start yelling...and in a few minutes the taxi appeared. And the drived told me that the ladies gave the wrong address twice! So I spent 50 minutes, I missed an appointment and I spent a fortune in telephone bill (I am european and every call is from overseas). AVOID USING CHECKER CAB! One more thing ...read more

I had to make 3 different trips in the same day. The first driver was nice, courteous and his car was clean. The ride didn't cost as much as I thought it would either. The 2nd driver picked me up from the grocery store. It was a really nice Asian gentleman. He helped me with the groceries and he was extremely nice and courteous. I think they sent the large shuttle cab since they knew I was at the grocery store, which is also very thoughtful. Then, I received a call where I had to get to my destination immediately. I did not have time to wait on the bus to get me there. So, I called Gator City a 3rd time. The 3rd driver was nice, he mapped the best route for me so I wouldn't have to pay so much, although this last trip was a little pricey. None of the drivers tried to run the meter up on me. Overall I appreciated the service all 3 times. I was able to get things done quickly. All 3 drivers were here within 10 mins. I don't know if it was just a good day for me or if people only write reviews when they want to vent and if there is good service no one bothers to write a review. I agree that the drivers and other people that I have encountered over the years with Runways are good, but I will never rely on this company again in light of recent events. I was scheduled to travel with them to the JAX airport. The day before, I printed my ticket and there was no indication that they had discontinued service. After the bus was 10 minutes late, I called them to find out that they had discontinued their service. THANKS for telling me!! I had to rent a car and barely made my flight, and only did because the flight was delayed. Imagine any other company discontinuing their service and canceling your reservation without telling you. I imagine that this would make anyone very upset. Now, on top of all of this, I have to write them a letter to request a refund for a refundable ticket. Great Airport Shuttle I reserved a shuttle with 9A Airport Shuttles for 18 passengers ROUND TRIP $1857.00 from Jacksonville International Airport to Savannah Georgia and BACK, when no other service had any shuttle free or they price was twice or high than 9A Airport Shuttles. Driver came 15 min early with a nice clean 25 passenger bus for both pick up. Great Job! ...read more
