My husband, son, and I were heading home to Tampa from a UF game when our van broke down at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night. Michael Dempsey and mechanic Herb were wonderful to work with. When it looked like we were going to have to spend the night in Gainesville, Michael drove us to the nearest hotel. But Herb kept at it, going past closing time, to find out what was wrong and fix the problem. Michael came BACK to the hotel to get us, and by 9 pm we were heading home. Their dedication to helping us, especially past their normal work day, saved us a $200 hotel bill (homecoming weekend - every hotel was overpriced) and, more importantly allowed us to get home to our pets. ...read more

My husband, son, and I were visiting UF from Tampa when our van broke down. It was a Saturday night and we had to get home (did not want to spend the night). Via AAA, David (?) D. arrived promptly and was very polite and friendly. He helped make a bad situation much better for us. ...read more
