The city of Fruitland Park, named for the Fruitland Nurseries of Augusta, Georgia, is located in Lake County, Florida, in the Orlando metro area. A major attraction is the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, a historic Carpenter Gothic church listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Each year, the city celebrates Fruitland Park Day and Hometown Christmas. One of the best places to visit when you are in Fruitland Park is Lake Griffin State Recreation Area, home to one of the state's largest live oak trees and a place where you can go boating, canoeing, fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
