I used this cab service for the first and last time early this morning. I requested a cab from the Marriott to the FLL airport. When I arrived the cab driver (#21042) said something I could not understand about the payment - he then said (I think): "the credit card crates problem for me." I thought this meant that it did not work, but he confirmed it did. He kept asking if I had cash, and I told him I was using my credit card. He then showed me slips of receipts and said "no money for me- I go to bed but no money." I was fed up at this point and told him again I was paying with a credit card, which he finally let me do. He KEPT the METER RUNNING during his speech. I paid and left, almost missing my ability to check my bag (literally by seconds). I called the company to complain and got their machine. We got in to the taxi after leaving port Everglades and we ask the taxi driver if he know his way around Miami. He said yes and quoted us 65 dollars to get there. We gave him the address of the hotel we were staying in and he said I know where that is. So off we go he took wrong turns and pulled into parking lots. Finally my husband said where are you going he pulled out his phone and gave him directions and was still turning in to parking lots and driving around. When we got out my husband gave him 80 bucks he then said you only gave me 50 and my husband yanked the money out of his hand as he tried to Palm 30 dollars .it was counted out to him on the trunk of the car and we walked off.
