The Ethics of Reciprocity Works for Small Business Growth
The Golden Rule works for small business growth. If you have a need, meet that need for someone else...first. For example, look at what Twitter instructs you to do once you sign-on to the service. It instructs you "to follow" someone. Unless you agree to follow someone else...first...you are not ever going to have a following on Twitter. What's amazing about this idea is that if you actively execute this simply idea, people you do not even know will begin to follow you. But, that is not all. If you share tweet that present the reader with a MESSAGE of VALUE (as opposed to a "buy my widget" sales pitch), your message will likely be retweeted by other folks. The new version of Twitter actually keeps track of all your retweeted messages. But, it is not just Twitter that proves the Golden Rule works for business. MerchantCircle and Examiner.com in combination offer a special one/two punch. When people agree to connect with you on MerchantCircle, offer to turn a press release from them into a news story used on Examiner.com. That is what I am doing. I am surprised by the level of positive feedback I have received for this idea. Of course, for this to work, you need to register with Examiner.com as a writer. However, keep this in mind. Township Day is a Family Fun Day in Coconut Creek
You do not want to miss Township Day at the TCMA Clubhouse in Coconut Creek, 2424 Lyons Rd. on Sunday, January 30th. The fun begins at noon and continues until 5 p.m. The festivities get under way with a Welcoming Ceremony by the TCMA Board of Directors at noon. This is followed by a fun-filled afternoon of amusement rides, vendors, karate exhibitions and all you can eat. Yes, you can purchase food at this carnival-like event - including hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, soda, water, cotton candy, ices, etc. Giggles the Clown will be there with music and games. Lowes will be there with a project for kids. The K-9 Police will be on hand with a special demonstration. Monarch High School's R.O.T.C Color Guard will showcase their skill. The TCMA Theater Group will be presenting, "Fabulous Feud," (a game show) on stage in the theater. And, guess what? The public will be among the contestants. The times and events of Township Day will be posted in conspicuous places throughout the property. There will be raffles for both kids and adults. Therefore, you really need to plan to attend.
