American Heritage gets and F for failure to return unused tuition. We are a family that had three children at the American Heritage School for two years. On the third year of our admission process we were offered an opportunity to pay in full earlier than normal and we would receive the previous years prices along with an additional discount. Since tuition amounted to over $40,000 for three students we jumped at the opportunity. During the summer recess and three months prior to the schools opening, a family member in another state became ill and we decided to move to take care of them. We notified the school by phone and fax. We contacted the school to find out when we could expect our money back and they said there would be NO REFUND. What? Our family is being penalized for prepaying in advance. If we would have opted for a 10 month payment plan at the higher prices we would not have lost anything except the always NON REFUNDABLE $1200 PER STUDENT ADMISSION FEE. ...read more
