Athena's Bridal Boutique was an amazing experience. I found them online and went the next day. I was in a dilema and needed a gown for our March 3, 2012 wedding which only gave me 3 weeks. I explained to them the situation and they said no worries they would take good care of me. They were absolutely correct. Jo Ann was the greatest, most personable and caring person. She understood what I wanted and needed. I found the perfect dress and my alterations are next week. Athena's catered to my needs and they have a fantastic selection of designer gowns. There prices are reasonable as well. Jo Ann truely cared about my situation and wanted to help. Every employee of the boutique was warm and caring. I am so excited about my wedding day and they made my dream come true with the amazing dress, a Maggie Sottero design, J1488.\t\nThe horrible experience prior was with David's Bridal. The alterations on my dress were a nightmare and when I went back for my 2nd fitting, the dress was ruinned. They were not empathetic at all. My daughter and I went there on 1/17 to look at sweet sixteen dresses. We were the only customers in the place. The lady who helped my daughter tried to be helpful, but did not listen to what my daughter wanted at all. She had her own opinion and was basically putting my daughter into whatever dress she thought my daughter should wear. I recently attended a wedding reception at the Pinellas Park Banquet Masters. The food looked like it would have been good if anyone was able to stomach it. We were told that the owners only turn the A/C on 15 minutes before a party arrives (NOT enough time for a HUGE party like ours). It was Cooler outside at 92° and 100% humidity than in that firey pitt of a dining room. It RUINED the enitire occassion. Nobody felt comfortable eating while they were dripping with sweat. No one wanted to dance because it was too unbearable, people even stopped talking to save their hot breath from making the room worse! The majority of the party didn't even stay for the bride and groom to cut the cake. It was a waste of their money and time all because the OWNERS were too stingy to turn the a/c down even though EVERYone around me had asked the servers to do so.
