I had lunch with Lauren McLaughlin yesterday, author of Go To Elf and a Unity Minister. She and her husband John have expressed interest in our our next Basics of Video Blogging class and will attend in July. (you can order the book atwww.gotoelf.com) I was curious why Lauren was interested in Video Blogging. She told me she wants to read to her granddaughter who lives miles from her, recording the story on video and then send the video and the book to her granddaughter as a gift. To me this is such a special gift that will be cherished by her granddaughter her entire life. When she has grandchildren of her own, she’ll share the books and the videos with them with pride and joy. Lauren will have started a legacy that will continue for generations to come. Lauren!!! You’re just so clever. I just wish I could find other grandparents who would like to do the same. So if anyone has a suggestion about how to reach this group, I think it would be such a wonderful experience to share with a group of grandparents. Of course it’s not for everyone. Being familiar with email and YouTube would go a long way toward making these skills easier to learn. I read a statistic the other day that said more than half the women on Facebook were over 55. So I’m on target in my wish to make this class available to that particular age group. I suspect that if we can put this class together it will become one of our most cherished memories.
