Can't believe the summer has come&gone.; They say the older you get the faster the time passes, hope it isn't true.  Well the summer has been interesting for sure. Lot's happened for Brooklyn Gourmet Gift Baskets. We grew! We were interviewed this summer for this article that has come out it the "Boca Raton Observer". I was approached by the reporter with her saying she heard so much about us. That was great already. Then for her to interview me, well that was the icing on this big cake! Well now that Easter has come&gone; (I can hardly believe it is April), I am getting ready for the next holiday, "Mother's Day"!  I love the pre orders.  That gives me a heads up of the amount of baskets I will be doing.  I do allow for the last minute urgent phone calls though!  Not every one can think that far ahead for a holiday after all we all have busy lives.  Since I create each basket on a custom per order basis there is not too much prep work I can do.  All my bows are hand made. Then creatively scallopped on to the entire edge of the basket.  Making it the begining of a decorative gormet gift that has eye appeal!  I make sure I am well stocked and into the holiday I go!  Since most of my clients are repeat or word of mouth, every basket is my calling card.  It is important to me to be able to fulfill the pre orders as well as the last minute & every day orders.  Holidays can be busy for me, but it is a passion and don't mind the extra hard work.  Especially when I get the feed back on the gift basket.  That is most rewarding to me.  Have to go now, lots to do.  Have a wonderful moms day to all.  When in need of a gift basket, mention Merchant Circle.  We like to do the extra for our network family&friends! HI TO ALL!  I AM NEW TO BLOGGING (not sure if it's one "g" or two)? SO PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ME, (I AM A FAST LEARNER THOUGH)!    I am going to try to keep up with this on a regular basis.  I do not have too much free time on my hands, trying to run a business and all that but I felt the need to convey some of my thoughts to those who would like to hear me other than my boyfriend & my sister. One story I do want to share is "WE WERE IN A BANK ROBERY!!!" Yes, you heard I mean read it right!! The quick version, sitting at a reps desk, she got up very abruptly. Went to the big windows, closed the levilors, locked the door, went to the tellers booths. Marc and I looked at each other? He said "Fran I think we were just robbed". Oy,yoy,yoy! Side bar:ALL MY LIFE LIVING IN B'KLYN THE WORST THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME WAS THE RABBI IN BORO PARK WHERE I LIVED CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID: FRIMITT(my yiddish name),FRIMITT, YOU CAN'T KEEP THE XMAS TREE LIGHTS ON WITH THE MENORA? So here I am in sunny Florida, Boca Raton non the less and I am in a bank robbery in the middle of the day!! Well, on the bright side, no one was hurt(than goodness!), no one I think even knew it happened except the poor teller (she should quit).
