About Ferro's Blue Mesa Ranch & Guide Service

Ferro's Ranch is located in the mountains between Gunnison and Montrose. From Gunnison, take Hwy 50 west aprx. 26 miles. Turn north on Hwy 92. At aprx. mile arker 131, go 7/10ths of a mile past dam, turn right on Soap Creek Road. Ferro's is 3 miles up. Our elevation is 7800' above sea level.

Our lodging is both comfortable and affordable. Two full-size original log cabins from Sapinero era that are full housekeeping equipped. Starting at $89 per night for four people. Pet friendly.

Ferro's is the only guide service that offers personalized horseback rides. Even little ones can ride with older family members on our unique double saddles. One hour rides at $29 and two hour rides at $49. Large groups welcome. Yes, we lease our horses for hunting groups.

Guided lake fishing trips starting at $295 for a half-day.

Country trading post store on premses and stocked to meet your needs. Fully licensed liquor store, ice, bait, antiques and collectibles.

Best horseback riding around!

Really enjoyed our horseback ride at Ferro's. Their wrangler, Jeff was patient and did an excellent job with our kids. Their first ride ever and our little ones rode with mom and dad on their double saddles. We were even able to enjoy the ride having that convenience! Beautiful views of Blue Mesa Reservoir also. All around, a wonderful addition to our vacation and we will certainly come again.

We have been staying at Ferros Blue MesaRanch for fives years now. We love the comfortable atmosphere. The cabins are as comfortable as being at home. We also purchase a boat slip at Lake Fork Marine, this way we can fish as early as we want & stay as late as we want! Then we go back to our cabin, relax, watch a movie or tv. If we forgot to bring something Kay & John have it at thier store. You can't beat fishing for Salmon, Trout, & Mackinaw on the Blue Mesa. It has always been a great week at Ferros.
