best food anywhere ur dumb not to buy
the food is great, i got a great deal i paid $389.40 and got 68 cuts of beef and 72 servings of chicken the food lasted about 3 1/2 months and i want to get more it was the most tender meat ive ever had my favorite is the kansas city strip, i save so much money using east bay gourmet.i dont know what id do without them here for us trust me get the meat its great and you wont be mad!

This company has an ad in the paper advertising for help - the ad reads "If you like fast cars and loud music - you can make $600 wk", well lets see - who is that going to attract, of course the young adults. Then you tell them they will have a truck - door to door salesman, that's what it is and that's what it should read! You make them put gas in "your" trucks and if they can't sell anything - too bad - you just worked for free! ***SCAM*** I will never buy anything from this company! Honesty goes a lot further than this scam you are trying to pull. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I find you totally pathetic!

Please do not purchase from this “company. I had a guy called Jeff that sold me the meat. My husband and I wanted to purchase grass fed meat and we were told by Jeff that it was. He guaranteed us that the company was legitimate but after we spent $400 on meat, we found out it is not. It was mainly our fault for not doing the research before we spent on that money. We called the headquarters and they basically hand up the phone on us! They were extremely rude and unprofessional. We called Jeff and the manager from the retail branch many times to express our disappointment, yet they never helped us. We then found out that is not grass fed and we wasted so much money on meat that we never will eat. We also found that the their meat was recall some years ago (go to USDA site). We ended up giving it to the Salvation Army. Please save your money and buy meat from a more reliable source

SCAM
Anybody out there reading this, everybody who wrote a bad review could have made it worse. It is a horrible experience dealing with these people and all the meat I bought had to be put in the trash - where it belonged. Don't believe a word they say, or better yet, don't even talk with them. As a sr. citizen on a truly fixed income, this is a real blow. I rate them NO Stars ......Nothing good about them or their so called meat . It's all a SCAM ..Don't be a victim .

Beware !
I have never felt like I have been taken as I do now after buying some "meat" from East Bay G ourmet. And I am old (near 80)
and have been taken a few times in my life. But this group really hits a low blow. The salesman was extremely aggressive, and that is putting it mildly. The so called meat I paid an exhobrant price for was worthless. I honestly would not feed it to my dog. After reading all the other reviews, most people feel the same, what a scam ! The only reason I checked one star was because there's nothing lower. The only good thing that came from my experience is that it taught me to be more cautious and learn to say NO.....No....No.......So my advice to anyone who comes in contact with them is BEWARE and be aware of what you are getting into because there's no getting out. The warranty is as bad as the meat.
REDICULOUS!
Been trying for over a month now to get my money back on their satisfaction guarantee. Their sales people throw out all sorts of numbers out and talk about pounds and dollars and portions and try to make you think you're getting a good, convenient deal, but you end up paying over $10/lb on beef and chicken...To try to return is a joke, one excuse after another and still don't have my money back after driving the cases down to their warehouse myself. No contact or customer service number to take to the next level in managment. Just avoid at all costs. I would rather buy premium meats from the grocery store and buy a FoodSaver to vacuum pack it because it would still cost less.

Horrendous disappointment
If there were an option of rating East Bay Gourmet with a NEGATIVE number, I would have done so.
The fellow comes to the door, saying he's sold to my neighbors, and I'm hesitant, but willing to listen. I decide to purchase a few rib eye steaks - believing it's worth $29 to test them and give him the benefit of the doubt. Yikes! $29 lesson. Tough, inedible and did not even taste like beef. Certainly not ""grass-fed beef of Omaha Steaks quality."" I should have snatched my check out of his hand when he asked me where the nearest branch of my bank was located. Be forewarned.
I've had the rest this is the best
I bought well over 18'500 dollars worth of food (steaks seafood chicken and pork) from a driver named MAZE since 2005. My wife and I absolutely love it! He is one cool dude! He even bought us two deep freezers to help us store our need for bulk supplies. If there is ever a great service provider this guy is the one! The food is terrific and the service is entertaining to say the least. This guy deserves your business and you will also enjoy the food he delivers, so call for him he is out of the charleston corporate office. Sincerely, one happy customer, Mike and Samantha. like any company there are those who love the food and others do not!Also if you pay over $120.00 per case you are getting ripped !
The best review are those given by real consumers! Not by Tom or Amanda who are independent and worked for Jammie ! Do you home from people you know and through usda and better business !

approximately one month ago we purchased thecertified choice steaks. we recieved the less than full box of chicken free. we were suppose to get grade A froxen flounder. well scott did not have them on the truck and would deliver them within two days. after three phone call to him, we still have not recieved the flounder. he returned the first call 3 weeks ago, and was going to deliver the fish that friday. a NO SHOW.i would not purchase from this company again

What do you want to know?
if you have spoken with anyone from this office and they said their name was tom after 12/17/09 it is a bold faced lie it is the manager jamie using his name because he left the company because of all the scams.jamie is to busy cheating on his wife with the female employees to mange the company properly.if you want a reliable meat company i suggest you deal with omega instead.we are highly considering a lawsuit for slander for using false names.
