About Woodland, WA
Woodland, Wa., is located north of Vancouver. It is on I-5, and also meets Hwy 503. Hwy 503 goes by Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Rainier. Map Quest shows that there are 8 hotels, or motels, near the freeway. One is called Hotel Obama. The map also shows that there are 10 restaurants by a nearby river. The river runs north to the ocean's mouth, or south to Portland. You can drive along the Cowlitz River, by driving either north or south on Hwy 30, or the river runs north and south along I-5. Woodland has a Woodland Tulip Festival, and has some beautiful tulip gardens. Woodland takes pride in flowers, and here you can find some of the most beautiful flowers. One of these gardens, is the most beautiful, Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens. Hulda Klager came to this country from Germany in 1865. There is a Planter's Days Parade, and a frog jumping contest. Some of the local Woodland Public Schools are, the Woodland Primary School, Woodland Middle School, Woodland Intermediate, and the Woodland High School. There is more to Woodland than the lakes, parks, etc., that is always mentioned, and should be told by the Woodland community.
