I have shopped at this store since relocating within the locale area and have always had good shopping experiences there. The staff are usually friendlly, greeting with a smile however, there is limited customer service interaction during the checkout. Just as a typical store--it holds its share of good & bad items. The customer service at Polly Drummond has the worse customer service. Even the manager is very unfriendly. The cashiers spend more time talking among themselves, never even a smile to customers. And the young girl at customer service is always miserable. Never says a word, and never smiles. The only nice people seem to be in Bakery and Deli. I work with the public , and this is uncalled for. But with such an unfriendly manager, what does one expect. ...read more

The Co-op Farmers Market, sponsored by the Newark Natural Foods Co-op and area farmers, is held every Sunday from 10am - 2pm in the Market East Plaza shopping center on Main Street. The 2010 season runs from May 2nd to November 21st. The Co-op Farmers Market features locally grown fruits and vegetables from sustainable farms located in DE, MD and PA. You will also find a wide selection of plants and flowers, baked goods, prepared foods, and art and crafts.
