Construction: Making sure you get what you expect

When thinking about accepting that low bid for your project make sure that all phases of the construction are listed in writing. It’s easy for a builder to bid low, and then pad the contract with extras to get the money necessary to finish the project as you wanted it. It is hard to cover every possible contingency but your written contract should include all the work you are anticipating your contractor will complete.
