I waited at the counter for almost 4 minutes before the store clerk notice I needed service. He was on his cell phone talking. He walked over to me and i was greeted by ' what is the teplephone number? " I asked, what telephone number, the attendant response was, ' you sending money right!" I responded no, i need to buy international minutes. The clerk sat in a chair and scoot himself over to a laptop computer. he was still on his cell phone, his cell phone was on speaker and he was talking in his native Indian language. He glance at his cell puts his phone infront of the laptop and continues his conversation while his phone is on speaker. A customer came in the store pulled out some money from his wallet, stood at the counter and then instantaneously the man walked out the store.I was annoyed at this point. The clerk asked me how much international minutes i wanted, i replied $10 on two digicel numbers. he responded, "No, No, No no... tell me the number". as if he was upset with me. I started reading the number from my cell phone and abruptly he interrupted me saying why you say it like that, you don't want me to correct you,you frustrated or something." I asked him "correct me about what, when i am telling you exactly what i want". I don't know if he was trying to impress the person on the phone. I wasn't going to go back and forth arguing. I allowed him to say what he had to say and after he was done I proceeded to give him the telephone number to purchase the international minutes . He started punching in the numbers on the computer and half way through he said, I'm not going to sell you anything, go somewhere else.It really didn't matter at this point because I don't need to do business with people who are rude, unprofessional and who dont know the meaning of customer service.This person took a while to notice that I was standing at the counter when the store wasn't even busy. He didn't ask how could he be of assistance to me, he assumed i was there to send money. The greeting I received was, ' 'what is the telephone number? He was preoccupied on his cell phone the entire duration, he had his phone on speaker. he was very rude.I believe he treated me the way he did because I am a foreign national and because I am a female . The way he stared at me as if he was staring me down. The way he kept on going on and on, its like he wanted to scold me. I stopped talking as i realized the conversation wasn't going anywhere . Tt doesn't matter which country you are from, in America we treat people with respect. We are equal male and female. Very poor customer service, not acceptable. ...read more
