Gallery Locksmith Store

5.0

By Alison Johnston 1

I needed a transponder key made. The one that I had I’d lost it somewhere and had been using public transportation to commute to work ever since. It was becoming quite a hassle and I needed someone to get a key made at a cheap price. After being rudely cut off by several locksmiths who refused to quote a price beforehand, the rep from Gallery Locksmith Store listened in on my requirements carefully. After answering a few questions pertaining to the make and model of my car, rep quoted the price over the phone and asked if I was okay with it. How could I not be? It was only gonna cost me seventy bucks when a dealership could easily have charged me thrice as much. I called them in and I was handed out the keys within thirty minutes. Bowled over by how amazing Gallery Locksmith Store is!!! Upfront pricing, friendly rep and technician, quality service! I couldn’t ask for more. If you live in Newington , CT, do give them a shot! Highly recommend it! ...read more

Gallery Locksmith Store

5.0

By Rose Slater

A hectic day at work later, all I looked forward to was a good night’s sleep. But that was surely something I wasn’t entitled to as I found out a few a minutes later. Upon reaching home, I found that the lock had jammed up and I couldn’t even get into my own house. It was late and I was already tired and dreary. A small search online led me to http://www.Seattle.Neighborhood-Locksmith-Store.com. Locksmiths in Newington , CT do have a notorious reputation for being late and I didn’t have a lot of hope pinned on the firm. I called them up on 860-973-2425, hoping against hope that someone would get here fast. And they did! In fact, it only took a technician from Gallery Locksmith Store 10 minutes to reach my spot. The technician, Gary, was polite and quite efficient at his job. He got the lock working in seconds and also doled out tips on maintaining locks to prevent a recurrence in the future. ...read more

Top 3 Diseases Seniors are Prone to

Increasing age can bring a number of diseases for seniors. Changes in a senior’s body that come with aging can make it harder for him or her to maintain a high quality of life.West Hartford home careexperts discuss few most common diseases found in seniors. 1.      Hypothermia Hypothermia happens when a senior’s body temperature gets very low. For seniors, a body temperature lower than 95°F can be a cause of concern. Many health issues such as  heart attack, kidney diseases, and liver damage are caused at this temperature. Hypothermia can happen to anyone, but seniors are at a higher risk because their bodies often cannot adjust to changes in temperatures quickly. Symptoms of hypothermia are shivering, cold skin, mental confusion, slowed reactions, weakness, and sleepiness. Being outside in the cold, or even being in a very cold house, can lead to hypothermia. Therefore, seniors should try to stay away from cold places. Seniors can take certain steps to lower the chances of getting hypothermia. Seniors should wear very warm clothes and should not go out of their house. Seniors should also install heaters in their homes to reduce the chances of hypothermia. 2.      Alzheimer’s Disease Another common, progressive illness seen in senior citizens is Alzheimer’s Disease[. There are four phases of this disease, starting with the pre-dementia stage and then following through early and moderate to the advanced. Experts believe that cognitive decline has a significant impact on a senior’s health. The most common causes of Alzheimer’s disease are poor cardiovascular health, poor dietary intake, and lack of social activity. Although it is progressive, seniors can slow or prevent Alzheimer’s disease by adopting a few healthy habits in their life. These include, regular exercise, proper sleep, and eating foods rich in Omega 3, flavonoids, and Vitamin C and E. Families of seniors with Alzheimer’s disease can consider hiring the professional services ofAlzheimer’s home care.West Hartfordexperts can help in boosting a senior’s lifestyle. 3.      Cataract A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye. Vision with cataract can appear cloudy or blurry and colors may seem faded. A cataract can grow larger with time and can even cloud more of the lens, making it harder for seniors to see. It can even occur in both of the eyes. Most cataracts are related to aging. Other causes of cataract include diabetes, smoking, alcohol consumption, and exposure to sunlight. The symptoms include cloudy, blurred vision. Seniors with cataract may not see colors as bright as they once did and lights from the lamps may appear to be too bright for them. We don’t use the term “incurable”, so I just adjusted the sentence by using “progressive”. No need to use but when you have already used although, while, or though in the beginning. ...read more
