There are only a handful of therapists out there that I've seen can do more harm than good, and I believe this is one of those. I talked to her and was trying to explain my situation, but she reacted very strongly and got opinionated. I think she didn't understand me at all, and I wasn't explaining anything particularly complex. I expect her to speak her mind, but just from the perspective of a highly trained professional, not with extreme bias. In terms of professionalism, there was almost none there. It was like talking to some random person off the street. Now, I do see she has two counseling licenses. I have no idea why one would have both, except maybe to learn more or to have a backup in case of losing one of them. Oh well. Anyway, I'd say that you should stay clear of her unless you are absolutely sure that she can help you, but I parted feeling like she needs trauma therapy, herself, not to give it out. I felt quite hurt after talking to her, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Her rating was a 7.1 *before* I rated her, so I don't know if it will change at all from my rating, given that there are so many people out there who may have rated her over the years. A 7.1 sounds about right, given that she is one of the lowest rated therapists in the state and considering what I experienced with her. ...read more

They advertise how their people are experienced, and yet not everyone there even practices with an individual license (they are so inexperienced as to still be working on getting even a license to practice, so they practice under the clinic's license). Also, the management is very much non-responsive. Lastly, there is a sort of negativity there that is hard to put my finger on. This is the opposite of what I'd want to get from a place like this. I'd recommend another clinic instead, or if you would like to fully invest in the best quality help, seek out a private practitioner who is rated very well on Citysearch. Remember, clinics are typically free (Medicaid insurance has no co-pay) or very low cost, so people will be apt to give clinics much higher ratings than places that have even higher quality care, yet cost more. ;) I'd estimate that you can get a full rating point higher worth of service at another place. But, if you must go to a clinic, at least find one that is not affiliated with this organization. ...read more
