The stylist I had was named Alisha, she listened to what I wanted and did a FABULOUS job. Not only on my cut, but the way she washed and massaged my scalp was heavenly! Do to such a hectic schedule I'm finding a hard time to find the time to get back there. I will definitely be going back! Am looking forward to it, now just need to find a little time for me! P.S I went to at least four other salon's before going there. I no longer to keep hunting out the salon for me; this one is it! Patti T ...read more

I never wore my hair curly until I met Dickie. I feel like I finally get to be myself. I don't think anyone else really compares. Curly natural hair is an endangered species! Every other salon I've ever gone to straightened my hair. This place gives you an awesome haircut and they take their time. It isn't one of these glamourous places that send you home looking like Dolly Parton. Dickie has a huge range of styles that he can pull off. Why go to someone else for a fake when you can go to a guy who can do a real Mod haircut or a real Marilyn cut. I went to him for a Marilyn haircut and my hair resembled Marilyn in ways I'd never imagined. The guy is a master. ...read more

Keeping your Hair and Skin Healthy
We're often asked "How do I stop my ends from drying out and looking frizzy"? My answer is being sure your hair is saturated w/moisture. If the hair is full to capacity, it won't go looking for humidity in the air causing it to go limp, or worse getting wider and frizzier. The key is optimum home care with a product or cocktail that binds moisture to the keratin molecules in the hair fiber. I have specific reccomendations for each hair type. "What about my skin"? Usually clients think they're oily, dry or combination. Nine times out of 10, it's dehydration that causes the skin to look dull or feel greasy. There is a care program to normalize these conditions too. We use a system called the "identitest" that measures accurate amounts of moisture in the dermis (deeper tissue) as well as the epidermis or outside layers that we can touch and cover with moisturizer which makes it feel better temporarily. There is a solution to combating these issues with a proper home care regimen. ...read more
