For months I had been in and out of hospitals and emergency rooms due to complications from Abdominal surgery. Adhesions from the surgery made my life miserable with pain and life threatening constrictions. Surgeons and doctors were not able to give me much guidance or recommendations on how to live with this problem other than "see you later for the next operation". With the inevitability of yet another painful medical event, I was desperate to gain some control over my life. I was referred to Anthony as someone who might be able to help me deal with the complications of adhesions, with its accompanying constipation, depression and a host of other maladies. Through kindness, compassion and an innate sense of where I needed healing, Anthony listened to my body and worked with me to bring me back to health. Anthony is my holistic physical therapist, whom I saw for an injury I received unrelated to the below. During the duration of my visits, subtle things started happening, they started out little then got bigger....and here I am 4 months later....my life was given back to me....by him. After 6+ years of frustration and pain I can now Walk without pain in my foot, knee, and back. I can Wear summer sandals. I can wear a flat heeled dress shoe. I can Get out of bed in the morning with the sole of my foot actually touching the ground. I threw my orthotics in the trash and don't miss trips to the chiropractor. I can actually say "let me put my sneakers on to take a walk" instead of saying "I wish shoes were more comfortable, I get tired of living in sneakers". The physical and emotional transformation is overwhelming, and there is so much more I can say, but for now from the bottom of my heart to the sole of my foot I thank you. I suffered a VERY BAD injury to my left hand. I was in a state of total MORTIFICATION on a daily basis because of this. This coupled with an overwhelming fear of having surgery, I was EXTREMELY STRESSED. Dr. David Bass of 85 Seymour St. Hartford, CT is an OUTSTANDING HUMAN and GIFTED DOCTOR. What makes him so special is he shares both of these excellent qualities with his patients. I can not say all that I want to say about this gifted surgeon in 150 words or less.
