After many years at Hamden Town Walk, starting as an Avalon tenant, I have to break my lease and move on. I am now told, there is no option to break the lease, the tenant must pay a two month rent fine and pay the rent until the end of the lease period. When I read on their website http://www.Seattle.Neighborhood-Locksmith-Store.com that they could get transponder keys made as well, I seriously doubted it. Didn’t really a think a locksmith could get it done, but to my surprise, Eric managed to make a new transponder key that worked flawlessly! What’s more, he got the job done at a much lesser price and handed out the new keys in under an hour. The last time I got a replacement from a car dealer, it cost me a whopping $300 and I had to wait over a week for the keys. Thanks to Eric from Safe & Key Shop, I now have found a cheaper, better option! I even called these guys over for a security assessment of my home the following week. Stomach cancer largely known to people as Gastric Cancer is an accumulation of abnormal cells that form a mass or tumor in the stomach. It is 5th commonly affecting cancer in the whole world. Stomach cancer is the third leading source of cancer-related deaths. In gastric cancer, malignant cells are formed in the lining of the stomach. The innermost layer of tissues is known as the mucosa, which produces mucus. Cancer begins in the innermost layer and spreads to the other layers as it grows. This cancer is called adenocarcinoma. There are many cancer specialist hospitals in India that treat gastric cancer. If symptoms of cancer are not recognized at an early stage, there is a possibility of it reaching an advanced stage. Signs and Symptoms of the adenocarcinoma- •   Nausea and vomiting The vomit sometimes consists of blood.  •   Feeling full Even after eating smaller quantities of food, a patient feels as if his/her stomach is full.  •   Indigestion and Heartburn Food doesn’t digest properly, and the patient may get acid reflux (contents in the stomach being pushed up back to the esophagus), which may cause a burning sensation in the chest. •   Sudden unintended weight loss As the digestion of food doesn’t take place adequately, it results in weight loss.  •   Immense pain and discomfort There is severe pain in the abdomen above the belly button. Tests to diagnose or detect gastric cancer •   Upper endoscopy- It is a procedure in which an endoscope (thin-lighted tube) is passed through the esophagus and stomach to check for abnormal areas. •   Barium swallow-The patient is given a liquid to drink which holds barium (a silver-white metallic compound). The liquid after drinking covers the esophagus and stomach then series of x-rays are taken. This technique is also called an upper GI series. •   Biopsy-The removal of cells from the stomach to be reviewed under the microscope for signs of cancer. Some other tests are CT scans, physical exams, medical history, blood tests, and complete blood count (CBC). There are various options for the treatment of gastric cancer. The different types of stomach cancer treatments are as follows: 1.   Surgery Most commonly performed treatment is surgery. Subtotal gastrectomy, here parts of stomach infected by cancer are removed, and total gastrectomy, the entire stomach, infected parts esophagus are removed. Endoluminal stent replacement, endoluminal laser therapy, and Gastrojejunostomy are some other types of surgery which are rarely used. 2.   Chemotherapy In stomach cancer treatment, a drug is given to a patient to stop the growth of malignant cells. It is given orally or injected directly into the bloodstream. Factors that Contribute to Successful Bioanalysis

Bioanalysis was initially used as part of the emerging forensic science or toxicology. Its application was to measure drug overdose. But today, bioanalytical support is necessary at every stage of drug development, from the initial stage of discovery to the final phase of clinical trials. With the rapid growth in pharmacology, drug development has hit overdrive. This means that abioanalytical lab needs to develop sophisticated assay methods as well. Technology and analytical methods have developed in tandem. What is Bioanalysis? Bioanalysis is an aspect of analytical chemistry. It refers to the quantitative measurement of a compound or its metabolite in biological fluids. Blood, plasma, serum, tissue extracts and urine are typical biological fluids. There are two main components of this sub-branch of chemical analytics relevant for any bioanalytical lab: sample preparation and compound detection. Several factors influence the quality and success of both these elements. Factors Determining the Success of Bioanalysis Validation of a particularbioanalyticsmethod for the intended purpose is crucial. For application in the drug development process in a bioanalytical lab, the method must be validated by GLP (Good Laboratory Practice). The minimum parameters of validation used for quantitative purposes are - accuracy (including both bias and precision), calibration model, limit of quantification, selectivity and stability. Additional recommended parameters are - limit of detection (LOD), recovery, reproducibility and ruggedness or robustness. How a bioanalytics method performs as per these methods of validation determines its success rate. Usually, the parameters of linearity, precision, and specificity or selectivity get tested till the preclinical stage of drug development. The remaining validation parameters get tested during the clinical trial phase. It is necessary to complete all the validation tests at this level since the drug has a higher probability of becoming a marketable product. There are several guidelines to learn the details about these validation parameters necessary to indicate the success of a bioanalytical method. The United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) and the International Conference on Harmonization are two important sources. Role of Training and Automation Apart from the factors discussed till now, there are at least two others that deserve a quick introduction - training and automation. Both contribute to the high success rate of regulated bioanalysis, with <3% failure. Robust training of analysts is necessary to ensure that they are able to meet accuracy, precision, and batch size standards without contamination. This capacity is tested during training to minimize the possibility of failed runs of bioanalysis. There is evidence that the use of automation reduces human errors and heightens the success rate of bioanalytics methods. Well maintained and properly calibrated equipment and instrumentation constitute the minimum requirement for reduction of failure rate. Special care needs to be taken during the setup of equipment for LC-MS/MS methods. A prior test of system suitability is critical to ensure the success of bioanalysis. These tests demonstrate the extent to which the system has proper separation, retention time and adequate precision. Finally, careful observation of failure rates by method, analyst and study design helps reduce the failure rate.
