My 50in plasma that I paid $2,000 for stopped working a couple years after I bought it. Of course the warranty was up and Philips basically told me good luck. I called a few repair shops who all had minimum charges. One told me they would have to rebuild the whole motherboard for $300, another told me it was a $250 minimum to work on. Mr TV replaced two capacitors and charged me $70. This was 4 months ago and my TV is still working great. This guy is the best! ...read more

My friends, If you are looking to repair a television please do not call or bring your set to this shop. I recently brought a set there for evaluation for $30 ,which was not a bad price but the place was a mess. I regret not turning around and leaving but I didn't .After the diagnoses I decided not to have it fixed for a few different reasons. My major concern was the condition of the shop and lack of organization and safe handling. Working in electronic for many years I can tell you this is not the environment you would want to leave your tv set with there many delicate components.
