Antivirus 2008 or 2009 versions--not real protection

Well, over the past month, I have had numerous computers come in with this XP Antivirus 2008 or 2009 version installed on it. It looks just like a Microsoft product; has the same logo, same type of verbage, etc. But, low and behold its counterfeit antispyware . Its been known to be hidden in a video codec that was downloaded and installed for Media Player.
