About Fraser, CO

The town of Fraser, named for the Fraser River, is located in Grand County, Colorado. Major attractions include the Cozens Ranch Museum and the Grand County Museum, located in nearby Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado. Every Saturday night in July and August, Fraser hosts the High Country Stampede and Rodeo where cowboys and cowgirls competing in calf roping, barrel racing, bull riding and bronco busting. One of the best places to visit when you are in Fraser is Arapaho National Forest where you can enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and hunting.

Shauna seems like a very good vet. There are some very simply things that she likes to ignore, to bring more money into her office. She could of preformed a (free) 2 minute test on my dog to see if she was anemic, (von willebrand's disease) but she failed to do so. In hopes of making $750-$1000 on the operation table. Instead she went on with the surgery, without referring us down to the Denver area were plasma is available. She knew my dog for over 7 years and still went on with the FAILED surgery just to get paid. The very next day I had to rush my dog to the ER down in Denver on her death bed were they had to give her a plasma IV. There I spent another $800 fixing Shauna's mistake. Wildland Firefighter Foundation Fundraiser

THE5FTFIREFIGHTER and Hideaway Park Brewery are hosting a fundraiser Sunday, February 10, 2019, from noon to 8 pm to benefit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, a non-profit that helps families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and assists injured firefighters and their families. This family-friendly event will include great beer from Hideaway Park Brewery, food specials from next door Fraser Valley Hot Dog as well as a silent auction, raffle, and Ask a Wildland Firefighter Q&A to help the community get answers to questions they may have about wildland fire in general. All proceeds will go to the WFF. You won't need to be present to win for raffle prizes valued $75 and up. There will be some great ones! Find the event on FacebookSponsors and more details will be posted as they are finalized. The Wildland Firefighter Foundation is a non-profit that helps firefighters and their families when an injury or death occurs. It was established in 1999, after the 1994 Storm King Fire in Colorado, when 14 wildland firefighters died in a single tragic event. Since then, the WFF has provided emergency support services to the families of firefighters, seriously injured or killed in the line of duty. Families left behind, many with young children, often find themselves with few resources, and the Foundation steps in to help. The WFF does this by providing grief specialists, logistical and financial support after an accident or death, trauma, PTSD and wellness counseling, suicide prevention and resiliance, a dedicated fund during the holidays to help families in financial hardship, and funding for memorials and monuments to recognize wildland firefighters across the country, including establishing and maintaining the Wildland Firefighters National Monument at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) in Boise, Idaho. Wildland Firefighter Foundation Fundraiser Update

We raised $3585 for the Wildland Firefighter Foundation! The turnout was incredible. There were arm wrestling matches, 272 beers drank, tons of raffle prizes given away, silent auction items, an appearance by Smokey Bear, Megafire author Michael Kodas stopped by, and lots of good times had by all.I was so busy that I didn’t really get photos of the raffle and the event so thank you to friends and family who supplied these few. THANK YOU to everyone who came out. I can’t tell you how much it means that the wildfire community and random people gave so much to this amazing cause and supported a random wildland firefighter who tried her best to put on a great fundraiser.
