!st a call to our corp office w/ great promises for those customers needing finance with out credit. Guaranteed to $5000! We have a furniture & mattress store, are close to the military bases & use all kinds of reputable finance companies - of course, most require at least moderate credit history. This was supposed to help w/ those customers that are employed, have a checking acct. Supposed to pay off within 90 days - sure it will. Here's my story:\t\nSo the owner meets with his sales staff to learn more about this 'opportunity'. He also buys a check processing machine for $2000 required to process the checks. Little does he know they will also charge us $10 per month for this 'service' & an additional $10/month as well for the credit card processing that we never did do w/ them. There are also many other 'surprise' charges = $85 annual fee, another $14.95 & $89.50 for warranty & machine 'maintenance' that just magically disappears from our bank acct every now & again. This machine is available online for $550 every day of the year. Trying to get answers from the poor (& I DO feel bad for these people on the other end of the phone after you sign up w/ EPS 90 - they try to be helpful, but the whole system is impossible).\t\n\t\nFollowing these accts must be done online thru their electcheckplus site. You have to as a bookkeeper try to follow a very un-straight path with these accts. When they go into your acct, of course they have taken their fees & 7% out first - the check you look at has nothing to do w/ the actual deposit amount. As if that weren't hard enough, sometimes the actual check is on 'hold', NFS, in 'collections' & you just wait & wait. We even had 3 checks deposited per their site but dated back to before we had started the service with them - hence not deposited & yet they said it was. It took me 6 months to show & show & repeatedly ask about those funds before voila, it was straightened out & we finally got our money. (the post said the deposit date, but in 2010 - not 2011)\t\n\t\nTHEN they had the gall to contact other companies in a like business as our & tell them we were thrilled! \t\n\t\nOf course the salesman for EPS was 'fired' & never again were we allowed to contact him.\t\n\t\nWe wrote some $38,000 in invoices & delivered that much in product out of our business - After more than a year we are still waiting on ~$2400 w/ some 6 accts. Not sure where that EPS/Financial Services of America $5000 guarantee went.\t\nWe are VERY unhappy w/ the service & the system & the lies.\t\n\t\nWhen it goes well - other than the percentages everything is great. The few that go bad, whew! Seems pretty much 'good luck w/ that'. \t\n ...read more

What to Expect from Credit Aid

What to Expect from Credit Aid If you have less than perfect credit and are looking to make a major purchase soon, you may be in need of credit aid.  There are a plethora of companies offering to help you fix your credit overnight, using tricks that will give you a perfect credit score.  These claims are false and you should not take any company seriously who claims to be able to force a better credit score. Any posturing about legal pressure or tricks to have items removed are also false.  If you have a bad credit score, the best thing you can do for it is to change your habits and stop adding negative items to the report.  Applying good habits to your spending and to your bill paying over time is really the only way to maximize your score. Having said that, there are different forms of credit aid which may be available to you.  For one, reputable companies (or your own research and efforts) can assist you in making legitimate disputes about items on your credit report.  If you have items that you know are in error, you should definitely follow the dispute process made available to you through the 3 credit reporting agencies.   Another great thing you can do is use your banks bill payer service to run good items on your report.  Essentially you setup to pay for an item with your card, and then each month pay that same amount to your credit card company, before interest is applied or the bill is due.  By doing this you slowly increase your credit by adding 1 good entry at a time. If you have revolving debt, you want to keep your balances at 15% or less of the amount available to you.  If you are paying down an installment loan, you want to take at least 7 months to pay it off; this is because the increase it creates on your score is divided into 6 month blocks.  As such, if you make 7 monthly payments you get two 6 month blocks (partial blocks count).  There are other tricks like this that can help you slowly rebuild your credit in a legitimate way.  Really the only way to fix your credit is to make it as accurate as possible and to try to utilize good payment habits from now on.  You should reach out to a reputable credit advise company for more information. What Does It Mean to Consolidate Debt and How Do I Begin the Process?

If you will have a large amount of money that you owe you no doubt have begun exploring strategies to get out from under this excessive debt load. One thing you may have considered is to consolidate debt. But what does it mean to do this and how you begin the process of consolidation. There are really two ways to consolidate debt. The first is to obtain some type of loan. To begin this process you must find a company which offers loans for the purpose of consolidation of debt. These are specialized lending companies which understand the circumstances of those who require this type of service and typically will understand how to reach out to your creditors in order to include them in your consolidation plan. Once you are approved for one of these services they will attempt to speak to your creditors in order to pay them in part or full and include all of this amount which they had paid on your behalf in your new loan which you owe to them. The second way in which you can consolidate debt is by going through a service which does not in fact lend you money simply works as a go between for you and your creditors. So for example if you owe $1000 each to three separate credit cards then this service would send you a bill for the minimum amount owed for these cards which you would pay them and they would in turn pay those credit card agencies. This is more of a service to help you stay organized and to not feel overwhelmed by a large volume of people to whom you owe money.www.creditnowusa.com/Debt-Consolidation ...read more
