McKirnan Bed and Bath Co
By Clare Lynch March 24, 2011
I spent a bit more than I had planned on a wool duvet, cover and shams. Every morning I wake up feeling like a queen. I make my bed every day just because of how lovely it looks. Oh and the towels, best ever! I found the staff at McKirnan to be so helpful. I now know the difference between mass produced textiles and this amazing level of quality. ...read more

Macy's

I hate shopping at Foley's. You can never find anyone to ring you up. The stores are always a mess. Boxes everywhere. Clerks who have no idea about anything. I am really glad that they got sold to Macy's, hopefully it will be better. They also have WAY too many coupon sales, Never know if you are getting a good deal. Just sell it for a good price and be done with it. Their REGULAR prices are a joke. Nobody if town charges that amount for the exact same merchandise. Foley's sale price is the same price as Bed Bath & Linens & Things. ...read more

Don't get fooled by thread count
We get a lot of questions about thread count in our linen shop. The first line of quality in sheeting is type of cotton and where the cotton was grown. We carry only the highest quality Egyptian cotton grown by the Nile. Thread count does change the hand (or feel) of the sheet, but not the quality. True Egyptian cotton has a wonderful, soft hand to it that last throughout the life of the sheet. Our sheets are not treated with chemical finishes to give the short lasting appearance of softness. Instead of washing off, our sheets get softer with every cycle. True Egyptian cotton sheets will typically last three to four times longer than other sheeting. Egyptian Cotton is relatively rare and so is priced higher than inferior cotton. As the thread count goes up, the texture gets silkier and has more of a drape effect. Our luxury sheeting starts at 250 TC and goes up to 1220 TC. A queen set cost range is between $270 and $1700, but remember, the quality of the cotton is exactly the same on each end of that spectrum. Our towels are also made of true Egyptian cotton. We at McKirnan are bedding and home textile nerds. We would love to show off our lovely range of bedding and bath products. We look forward to seeing you soon! ...read more

Origins
I opened my business in 2002. It had been a long-term goal to open my own business and after many years of planning I was able to find the right location. The location is great for my business - it's close to Pearl Street and has plenty of convenient parking. The best part about my business is working with customers. Please contact us, look at our coupon and get to know a really great business along with really great people. ...read more
