I have to say, I was skeptical when Josh first arrived. He wasn't in a hot water extraction truck and I was very nervous. (Having sold flooring for 20 years I had never used/recommended a company that didn't use hot water extraction) He explained his methods to me and told me to trust him and I am glad I did. Wow!! My carpets look amazing! It had been a few years years since they had been cleaned. There were several black spots on my white carpet that I thought would never come out. Almost 100% gone the first visit. He came back to hit some spots that needed cleaned again, but that was to be expected. I recommend Josh with Aquaman Carpet Cleaning over the other 'BIG Companies" any day! Fighting Mold with Science
The word "mold" is enough to strike fear into the heart of any Colorado homeowner. The adverse effects on your health are serious, and the potential cost of remediation is daunting. Invasive methods can tear your house apart for weeks at a time. We at NRS of Colorado are seeking to change that. Contrary to traditional remediation methods, NRS of Colorado uses biological means to destroy the potentially hazardous mold. Traditional methods involve bleach, sporicide and fungicide. While somewhat effective, harsh chemicals have their own side effects, such as disposal and possible reactions to the chemicals themselves. Instead of chemicals, NRS use a mixture of enzymes and proteins that feed on the existing mold. The enzymes actually eat the mold versus a fungicide or sporicide which kills the mold - but doesn't remove it from the house. For people with asthma, mold allergies or compromised respiratory systems, this doesn't really fix the problem. As the enzymes consume the mold, houses are left with nothing but a light citrus scent that dissipates in a few days. Using enzymes and proteins have another benefit too. With traditional remediation methods, it is often necessary to remove building materials (sheetrock, flooring, etc...) or furnishings. With our proprietary method, that isn't necessary. Our process penetrates porous materials - that way we don't have to tear out sheetrock or get rid of an otherwise perfectly good sofa or chair. We let the enzymes get in there and eat all the way down to the root system to completely remove the spores. By using organic materials instead of toxic chemicals, NRS of Colorado is able to atomize the enzymes to treat every part of the home, from walls and ceilings to the HVAC system, all without harming people or pets. While they are atomized, the enzymes are safe for fabric and furniture throughout the home. Even with the more extensive treatment, NRS of Colorado is typically finished in two to three days as opposed to more than a week with traditional methods. Another great side effect of using natural products and less invasive methods is less wasted sheetrock, minimizing the cost of contracting after remediation. Testing is the first and last step to any of our remediation projects. Proper testing can save significant amounts of money in the long run. We highly advise folks to get mold testing before buying a house. You inspect the plumbing and the electrical systems, so it only makes sense to get a mold inspection as well, especially since what can be a hidden problem can end up costing thousands of dollars to fix. One of the ways we test is by surveying the mold levels and identifying the mold strains outside the home. Once those are documented, we move inside the home. If levels are markedly higher, then further investigation is necessary. We also look to determine whether different strains are found inside versus outside the home as that can be an indicator of a problem as well. It's important to conduct a scientific test and not just a visual inspection when there is suspicion of mold in the home. There are a lot of people out there that will walk in and claim there is a mold problem without ever actually testing it. That is not what we do.
