Alan Nakamura was a pleasure to deal with and is clearly proud of his no-frills shop. This is a traditional furniture store at it's best: well made stuff with a lot of hardwood, excellent hardware (hinges, sliders, knobs), pieces that are built to last. And aren't as spectacularly expensive as they would be closer to SF. Our taste happens to run in common with this shop: traditional, old school, and excellent craftsmanship.This kind of furniture could likely go for at least 50% higher prices in an East Bay craftsman furniture shop.We bought a mattress set for a guest room.
