OMG! My family has been going to the Shady Oasis since I was like 6 years old. My mom used pack us up and gather friends and family and we'd have a blast! For so many years! I am now 37! and now I go w/ my children and gather my friends and family for this trip! This is a fantastic place! Used to be the KOA! Great clean pool fun, Video Game room, playground w/ sand, bike rides, great walks, volley ball, tether ball! BBQ glory! Tent sites and cabins! This Year 2008 will be our familys 5th year to camp here for Thanksgiving.(Still have to make reservations)..LOL Yes we could pick from a # of campgrounds, but with the shady trees, bike rentals, and the conveinience of a mini market,this is the tops. we have always been treated well, and our kids enjoy it. Shady Oasis is located in the middle of everything right off the freeway, Barstow Outlets always have great deals and the Victorville Mall is close also, we use to visit when it was Koa, but like it much better now since it is Good Sam.. Time to plan for summer camping season
May is almost here and that means Memorial Weekend! The first big 3 day weekend of the summer. We still have plenty of sites available for tents and RV's, so call now to make your reservation. On that weekend we have live musical entertainment, family Bingo, and movies for kids. Besides that we will have our swimming pool open; we have rental bikes, a volleyball court, game room, and much more to keep everyone entertained. It's a great time for some Camping!
As the weather is warming up we all start to think about being outdoors and enjoying the sun and outdoors. What better way to do that than to go camping? It's a way to get the family some "together" time, and get out of the house and winter rut. Right now our campground has some coupons that can help add a little incentive to heading out for some camping: Firstly, on March 18-20th we are hosting a food drive, and giving discounts for those who bring in donations. Secondly, until March 30th you can use the attached coupon for 25% off your second consecutive night of camping. (both coupons are listed on our coupon page). Also, our campground hosts an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter morning for all our young campers, 12 years and under. It's free to our campers, and prizes of candy are given to all participants. Scam Warning
I just wanted to share with everyone an email scam we received at our park, in order for others to stay safe. We were emailed saying that a "Mrs. Corbett" from the UK wanted to reserve 7 rooms. After some correspondence to explain we were not a hotel, and giving our cabin pricing, she wrote back (still seeming to think we were a hotel) asking that we charge her card for the full amount of their stay, plus $3,500 to send to a travel agency for their plane tickets, as the travel agency "will not accept charge cards".
