This place is beautiful. Lots of one of a kind pieces, color and textures. The staff are warm and friendly, although overbusy sometimes if you are in a big hurry. It is surprising they have been in Ventura so many years, (I think about 10) - this store is something you would find in a big city. They are pretty affordable. After shopping around I would say they are in the price range of Crate and Barrel or less expensive than Pottery Barn. Great if you are looking for something unique and more modern and of good, non made in China quality. I'm always inspired when I walk through the doors at M&T. The owners are a delight to work with and have a great eye for detail and quality. My husband and I purchased a new leather sofa for our home office - which we loved so much that we decided our living room needed resuscitating, too. This place is a ripoff. My boyfriend and I each bought $99 bean bag chairs which dissolved into nothing right away. The beans flatten into nothing and the chairs are unusable. The company is selling replacement beans at $17 a bag (our chairs need two bags each) and they did not tell us this at time of purchase. The owner is a jerk and started yelling at me on the phone. I could tell he has been getting a LOT of complaints and is becoming defensive. 5 months after our wedding and still no pictures. She constantly ignores email probably thinking were not smart enough to put a read receipt on there so i know she gets them. She deletes our comments off her facebook page so i know she is at her computer. Paid $2500 for pictures and we havent seen any of them. After I made an appointment to have my portrait taken they called back with a question about who exactly was to be photographed? Was it a child?\t\nWhen it was explained that I wanted my own portrait taken, caller said oh, yes we have that here.\t\nIt was an uncomfortable experience and quite obvious that anyone who wants to have a photo taken, who does not meet staff expectations would be grilled.\t\nOne would have thought that they were in the business of photographing people from the community.
