We have lived in Eldorado Park for nearly 3 years. We have lived in other developments with home owners associations and have discovered that they all have their problems and have residents that disagree. The things we like about Eldorado are: 1) It is safe and secure and is across the street from the police department. 2) it is within walking distance of shopping and Cable airport. 3) It is in the bedroom community of Upland which has one of the finest hospitals in Southern California - San Antonio Hospital. 4) It is close to the Claremont Colleges, to Mt Baldy and to a metrolink station, and has easy access to a freeway. 5) It is a rent-controlled park for senior citizens. 6) There are many wonderful residents with a variety of backgrounds - many admirable and fascinating. ...read more

Depending on your status, with the management, determines the rules that are inforced. Four star park ! ,have you looked at the landscaping , or rather the lack of. It was pulled out over a year ago and is still a mess. What about the the state and county rules and park rules that state any emenity, like pools, putting greens, shuffle boards, must have home owners input to change, you do not even know what that mess in front is going to be. For years it was a eye sore of a putting green, then that was gone and with out any input ,it is being redone into ,what ever the owner approves. The owner is whom is at fault, Management works for him. Most seniors are not willing to put there head on the chopping block, and complain It is true that you need to read ,sign and follow park rules. But they need to be the same for all. The rude comment was made before if you do not like it move. Well that can go both ways, you can stop your spying, and informing on your neighbors. ...read more

Upland Eldorado Mobile Home Community

Rebuttal to Review No. 1: We have been residents of Upland Eldorado Mobile Home Park for 30 years, having purchased our home in January of 1978. During our time here we have had several managers, some good, some so neglectful that the park became dirty, with weeds growing, quite unpleasant. When Rex and Pat Frazier began managing, the first priority was to bring the park up to the 5-star appearance we had all treasured. We have always found their treatment to be fair and courteous, without fail. After Rex's death, management transferred to Pat alone. Those who voice complaints and are unhappy here seem to be new residents who sign an agreement acknowledging the park rules and then invariably, within a few months begin defying the very agreement they have signed. Those who state they would not have moved here had they known it would be so unsatisfactory would be well advised to investigate before they sign the agreement. The rules are created to make this a pleasant place for us ALL to live. "Why can't we all just get along?" If any fault rests with Pat Frazier it is in her difficulty in coping with the shouted demands and complaints directed toward her. Many of the complaints (e.g. the trash barrels) are outside of Pat's purview to solve. She has the support of the owners of the park and of the majority of us who have lived here for a substantial amount of time. Newcomers who are so disgruntled are welcome to move to another park and let us live in peace. Allen W. and Betty L. Jackson ...read more
