And You're Not Wearing Your Log Because?

I just don't get it And nobody has yet to help me understand I have opportunity to run across several hundred different biz folk on my travels, and it shocks me how many do not wear their business on their heart (or their sleeve for that matter) If you are self employed, you without doubt spend an incredible amount of time working IN and working ON your business.  You often sacrifice family and self pursuits in favor of your business.  It is a sad reality--but it is a reality none the less.  Just about the only thing sadder is the amount of small business folk that DO NOT decorate their apparel as well as those of their employees.   YOU put so much time and effort into having your busienss succeed, you choose to miss out on the easiest Marketing and Promotion opportunity around. When you think of the various ways you can promote and market your business, the most High Impact, Most Cost Effective, The Best Return on Investment is Decorated Apparel. Recently reviewing my client lsit and determining WHERE my business came from, I determined my logo and wearing decorated apparel generated $15,000 over the last two years. I'll repeat that: MY LOGO AND WEARING DECORATED APPAREL GENERATED $15,000 OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS. So what is the key? What is the reason for success? My logo is a good conversation starter and unlike a pen, a mug or a yo yo (ALL GREAT corporate gifts), it is attached to me and gives me an opportunity to discuss my biz to the tune of $15 GRAND the last two years. I ask again: And You're Not Wearing Your Log Because? I wear Tracy Embroidery apparel EVERYDAY--including Saturday and Sunday.  If I am going to a social gathering, it might be a more subtle approach, but still I wear Tracy Embroidery on my heart--equipped with business cards--ready to chat business.  This is who I am--My Business' Chief Sales Person and High Priest of Marketing of Branding.  On a normal business day, my apparel includes a top with Tracy Embroidery on the left chest; our web site on the right sleeve and The Best of Tracy logo on left sleeve.  They all tie-in to communicate the Greatnes and Success of Tracy Embroidery. I usually wear a cap decorated with Tracy Embroidery in some manner--it might be our web site on the side of a Race Cap--and I wear shorts that usually has a Tracy Embroidery logo on the right leg to nicely offset the logo on my top's left chest. If I am making a business presentation, then I might were a dress shirt wth a small Tracy Embroidery on the chest--often a subtle tone-on-tone.   Additionally, we REQUIRE our people to wear Tracy Embroidery apparel at The Shop.  We enhance this requirement by offering employees $100 each semi-year to buy the apparel they want to wear and then decorated it with the Tracy Embroidery logo. It is absolutely the BEST MONEY we spend.  Often, employees have brought in their own apparel from home or bought something outside they really liked to be decorated.  Our people completely buy into our Marketing and Branding approach and the successit brings while it builds their own Team Morale.  On several occasions our people have been the one's to provide a key referral based on somebody asking about their apparel, and since they make the decision as to what they were wearing, they could both speak to the pride and performance of Tracy Embroidery as well as the item they chose to wear.  It's a Win-Win for everybody.
