I bought a floor lamp at Lamp's Plus and 1 year later we heard a sound like a gunshot in our house. The large glass housing around the bulbs had cracked in 2 or 3 places. Apparently one of the halogen bulbs had gone out and caused the lamp to break. It could have shattered on the floor and hurt one my young children. I had to go to Lamps Plus 3 times just to talk to a manager. They refused to give me a refund or a store credit for the lamp despite its obvious safety issues.
