Valley County is DRY! Exfoliation is the best answer to dry skin in the winter. Exfoliation of the skin (our largest organ of the body) is the most important part of sunless tanning as well. It is best to shave and exfoliate the day prior to your service, and use a hydrating moisturizer. On the day of your sunless application, shower with a gentle cleanser. Bar soaps raise the PH of the skin and should be avoided. Skin should be free of perfume, makeup, lotion and deodorant. Disposable thongs are available, but you may wear an old bikini, your own dark thong, dark bra top, or whatever you feel comfortable in. Remember, that just like the sun, sunless will leave tan lines on the body from what you are wearing during the application. Following application, loose dark clothing is recommended so as not to transfer the cosmetic bronzers to clothing. The cosmetic bronzers are temporary and will wash off in the shower, allowing your beautiful new tan skin to be the center of attention.
