Label: 10-16 x 1 HWH ZIP SCREW Z/P Here’s your decoder ring to figure out what it all means! 10 - Represents the thickness of the shank. Think dress size. The bigger the number, the thicker the shank. 16 - Represents the number of Threads per Inch also known as TPI. The higher the number, the finer the threads, which are best used in metal applications. In the case of flat headed screws, the length is measured from the top of the screw to the point. ZIP SCREW -Self-Piercing point. The point looks like the point of a needle and there is no pre-drilling necessary. These points are highly used in aluminium, such as siding and gutters and with 28-30 gauge metal. Z/P – ZincPlated.
