This is why i like the place 1 the hours are good. 2 the energy of the place is greate it is not up tight and militant. Peaple are working hard yet having a lot of fun as well 3 the teacher dose not overwelm u with too much information allowing for relaxed learning. 4 the routine is challinging and stimulating but not insane 5 it works i am seeing resolts such as flexibility and overall calmness 6 finally they offer a greate deal u get to try out for a month as appose to one free class i hope my review was helpfull in ur decision ...read more

My child has been going to Karate Kids for about 6 months to the Sherman Oaks location. While the philosophy this company has published sounds good on paper the actual implementation is not the best.\t\n\t\nMy biggest grievances:\t\n\t\n1) Overcrowded classes, especially on weekends. On one occasion I've seen as much as 17 kids crowded in the dojo with only one sensei, and 12-13 is not uncommon during the week.\t\n\t\n2) Lack of personal attention. Many kids often perform the moves incorrectly or skip them entirely due to lack of attention, often right in front of the instructors. I would have expected instructors to correct , but more often then not they just ignore that.\t\n\t\nThe above varies somewhat by instructor, some of them make a better effort than others. ...read more
