GoClaw Tire Chains are the best winter solution

A snowstorm can quickly change driving on mountain roads from an enjoyable adventure into a hazardous experience.  Driving on snow, and especially ice, requires extra stopping distance.  When driving on any slippery surface, leave lots of room from the car in front and then a bit more for luck!  Travel slowly, use the gears to slow down and control the vehicle rather than the brakes.  Winter driving can be dangerous, but snow tire chains can make a snowy journey a safer one. Winter driving can be dangerous, but snow tire chains can make a snowy journey a safer one.  During the winter, you should be extra careful due to the presence of snow and ice, which can cause huge problems especially if you lack driving experience under such conditions.  Chains are wise in addition to winter tires if you go through very snowy areas, but as mentioned above they are only useful in severe snow conditions and at low speeds.  OK, you guys are all missing one crucial point -- winter tires or no, you STILL need to carry and perhaps mount chains in the Sierras during the winter.  Use of tire chains for additional traction is most common in mountainous areas and in regions which receive very heavy snowfall. Tire chains are not only useful for keeping a car on the road, but in some jurisdictions, they're required.  These  tire chains  are such high quality that they can take whatever load you throw at them.  Passenger car tire chains and pickup truck tire chains are offered in many styles, from economical Cable Chains and Twist Link Passenger Chains to the V-Bar Reinforced and European style Sno Grip chains.  Our tractor tire chains are heavy duty and include a wide selection of snow chains and tire chains for farm and utility tractors.  Snow tire chains should be installed on the drive wheels: on the front wheels for front-wheel drive vehicles, the back wheels for rear-wheel drive, and on all four tires on all-wheel drive autos. Tire traction devices are defined in the California Vehicle Code (VC) Section 605 as "devices or mechanisms having a composition and design capable of improving vehicle traction, braking, and cornering ability upon snow or ice-covered surfaces," and include conventional link-type tire chains and cable chains, as well as other less conventional devices such as "Spikes Spyder.  By comparison, the products of  ADVANCED TRACTION SYSTEMS  provide more features, are much more durable, and have performance       superior to that of       our competitors'.  Use of tire chains for additional traction is most common in mountainous areas and in regions which receive very heavy snowfall.  The secret to GoClaws' incredible traction are the patented Pascal-Tech  gripping chambers molded right into the traks.  Our traction product lines include a wide variety of tire chains to serve your needs. ...read more
