I was told by the owner he could have my carbs rebuilt for $550.00 plus he would include carb rebuilt kitand 2'' cone filters and have it running in 3 days. I knew it was a bit pricey but i thought i was paying for professional and hassle free work, boy was i wrong,i called back three days later and he said he was not done yet. I said no problem call me when its ready. A week went by and i still did not hear from him so i called back he said oh ya its ready its done so i said great ill be by to pick it up. Once i arrived i checked out the bike it did not have any filters on the carbs nor did it have any gas in it? so i said how do you know if it runs if theres not even gas in it? he said oh it just ran out? i said ok well i cant pay you till i know its running, and it doesnt even have filters on it he said oh they are on back order for 30 days. i told him i can go pick up some filters today if i wanted but thats why i paid him. he said well you can wait 30 days? i told him forget ill get the filters. he would not reimburse me for them!!! Okay whatever 30 bucks. But i cant pay you the rest of the money until i know the bike is running. He said well come back tomorrow cause i have no gas,i was shocked what motorcycle shop doesnt have a few gallons of gas laying around especially when there is a gas station 150 yrds down the st,so i said what ever ill go and get some gas.i come back and i have to put the gas in the bike, then he kickstarts the bike i said y dont you use the starter button? oh it doesnt work ,well it did before i dropped it off? Now i just want to get my bike out of there.the bike was not tuned what so ever he had it running at about 4000 rpm while the bike was just sitting there as if some body was holdding the throttle back. i took the bike and ran,the bike ended up leaking a whole gallon of gas over night at my house i then decided to take it to a real mechanic (MACH 1) in costa mesa they took apart the carbs to make sure that they were rebuilt right, and sure enough he never put one new part on the carbs nor one penny into the bike the only thing south coast motorcycle provided me with was a crab load of silicone glue in each of my carbs and a whole in my pocket< South Coast Motorcycle Repair took me for a total of $685.00 and a headache. Not to mention i still have a bike that need the carbs rebuilt Which is still gonna cost me $500. Do not go through them for any work i dont think he is a licensed mechanic and he is very unprofesional. ...read more

The prices were better than anyone else and he explained everything. I was able to get the right brakes and controls and see all the available options before making my decission. ...read more
