Our family has been with this school since the second year it was started. We couldn't be happier with the rich education, level of commitment among leadership, staff and teachers or with the amazing group of highly involved, caring, motivated parents. My kids have grown up with a caring, loving, intelligent, empathetic group of friends who support each other, enjoy each other and really know each other. When problems have arisen, they have always been handled with dignity, compassion andwisdom in all parties concerned, be it parents, students, staff or leaders. The curriculum is extraordinarily rich and meaningful, with absolutely no busywork. Every lesson, every book, every assignment is carefully planned and fits together beautifully into the larger framework of the historical time frame. I, as a parent, coming from a solid education myself, have learned so much along side my children. There are no dry textbooks or pointless worksheets. The hybrid model is just perfect for our family, we enjoy the vibrant community of like minded individuals as well as having abundant family time, sibling interaction, sleep and down time that we could never achieve at a 5 day a week onsite school. It is the best of both worlds, a simpler, richer family life and a deeper, more relevant education. The fact that the students are learning such forgotten topics like logic, Latin and art is astounding. They LOVE it! Sloca has tours open to the public each month, all are welcome, and I promise, it is worth an hour of your time! Sloca just keeps growing at a time when other private schools are shutting their doors. Don't take other's words for it, see for yourself!
