I was told by a friend that this is the place to go. I went. The first class was okay. The instructor spent more time looking at other things than techniques. The mats were dirty. There was "something" in the bathroom toilet that made me sick. And I am a guy. I had hoped for a more civil environment but everyone acted like they did not want to be there. I have been at this gym for a few years now and am always impressed at the new class styles and ways that they motivate me. The classes are very tough but they let you try one for free to make sure it is your thing before even talking to you about prices or contracts (i really enjoy watching people take their first class now that i have been there for a while).\t\n\t\nThere definitely is a range of personalities from the instructors and finding the one that you work best with you is what will make this the only gym you go to while living in SLO or just a class you tried one time.\t\n\t\nWhile i cannot recommend to EVERY person that this is the gym for them i can recommend that trying the free class is always worth it (especially for me). ...read more
