The time is now

The time is now, as President Obama said in his inauguration speech:   “Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking .”   What is important? Where do we start? Should we wait and see what others do?   Here’s another excerpt from the President’s speech that addresses that:   “For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act…We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories…”   Yes, energy, renewable energy is the starting point. The incentives and the technologies are already in place.   We all are already paying; our investment accomplished through our utility company payments and taxes. We pay every month, every year, with nothing to show for our money except receipts.   This money could be shifted to invest in our homes, our country, our planet and our future. More from the President…   “Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions — who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.”   Let’s do our part. Contact us, if you’re in the SF Bay Area, and we’ll evaluate you home and give you the numbers. If you’re in a different location, find a company you trust and hopefully you’ll see that it’s the right thing to do, for you, your children, and the rest of us.  ...read more
