I had a good experience renting a ten-foot U-Haul truck from them for a short-haul trip within San Francisco. This is a huge facility, conveniently located near many self-storage company facilities. I reserved the truck three days in advance by phone. When I arrived in their office they processed my order smoothly, even emailing me a digital copy of my invoice. I waited a few minutes in their designated area until a worker drove up with my truck and turned over the keys. When I first pulled my car alongside their plant (for free all-day parking on Bayshore Blvd.), I got accosted by a friendly group of day laborers. When I politely told them I didn't need any helping hands, they laid off. This U-Haul charges $1.49 per mile on top of the basic truck rental (of $19.95). So this facility might make a good choice if you're in for a short haul within, or not far from San Francisco. If you have to make a longer haul, you might want to shop around for a U-Haul offering a lower per-mile rate. ...read more
