I'm glad my CDwas finally installed & wipers. But didn't wash car tech. Broke my mirror when door was shut. It's a week now, heard nothing from Servs. Dept. I pre purchased oil changes on my car contract, the first two times I showed up to get my oil changed it happened quick and without any complaint. I showed up last week and I get the most grouchy human being ever to help me. He explains to me that because I have a Mercedes I'm going to have to wait a long time for my oil change so they can get parts. Or he offers me an appointment, I take an appt for 5/2/14 @ 1030am, when I arrive I get the same grouchy old man and he said it was going to take long because they had to get the parts. I said NO WAY I spoke with you last week and you ordered the parts for my appointment set for today. He then proceeds to tell me yes they had the parts but at the end of the month they send all non Chevy parts back to were they came from...what the hell why would you schedule me an appt for the 2nd and send the piece back, or even better why would you not order the piece again and have someone pick it up prior to my appt time?? Is the damage minor enough to consider a mobile service. #2 What's your deductible? If the cost is lower than your deductible with a mobile service consider that as an option so you won't possibly get dinged on your insurance record or premium. #3 What kind of a job are you looking for? The old saying is pretty much true you get what you pay for. If you have a nice car and what to maintain the value of your car then use a shop or mobile service that uses OEM paint and recommended refinishing products and guarantees their work. If you use a shop the uses a low quality paint then you will most likely notice the paint finish difference. Well another very advanced paintless dent repair on another hard Ford truck. I was doing this pdr job in Encinitas, Ca and when I pulled up I was like "uh oh!" A very deep dent caused from slightly jack knifing a trailer. Not to make things worse, it was a pearl white 3 stage paint. Which means, if I become to aggressive with my pushes, the paint would crack severely and ghost trail making it look worse. Luckily it was overcast on the coast because I was not going to have any shade. In the end, there was a slight wave because how stretched the crease was. I had to be very aware not to crack paint, so i decided to leave a slight low near the edge. It would not be worth for me to get greedy and try to force the last bit out and jeopardize the whole repair by cracking paint. It took me just about 2 1/2 hours to remove.
