I thought I was just about done with PepBoys, I brought my 99 mustang in with a check engine lite and and this older guy , gary sez lets take a drive before we write this up. He ordered some widget from Ford and it was there in 40 minutes. Out the door I go for a good price! Couple of months later, I got this little bump sometimes going up a hill, back to San Carlos PepBoys I go. They tell me that the old guy ""gary"" was no longer there. I asked if someone could take a test drive with me, and they said they did not have a diagnostic person on that day. My sister has very good luck with the Union City Store, but San Carlos is in a wreck right now. Stay Away! I normally wouldn't be compelled to write a review on a tire place, but everything about Les Schwab was so amazing I have to give credit where credit is due. First of all, there's fresh popcorn and hot chocolate for customers in the waiting room.. they almost make it enticing for you to linger while your car is worked on. My brakes had a slight squeaking, so the guy helping me took my car for a test drive and did some minimal realignment FOR FREE! Such a change from car places that take you for all you have... I also must add that as soon as I pulled up to the parking lot an employee ran out to my car to see what I needed... customer service at its finest. Les Schwab is the best!!! ...read more

If you want to go somewhere that believes in customers first, this is the place to be. I was getting an oil change down in Sunnyvale and at 5:30p they told me they found a nail in my tire. Toyota said that I would need to replace one of my wonderful Les Schwab tires, which I bought in Oregon two years ago. So, while I was in the Toyota waiting room, I logged onto Les Schwab's website and found this one in San Carlos. I saw that it closed at 6pm but I still called. I asked them if they were sure if I come up from Sunnyvale, they would still be open to help me. (We are talking 101 at 5:45p on a weeknight!) \t\n\t\nNot only did they stay open and wait for me to show up at 6:15p, they said I didn't need a new tire but they fixed the one I had and then rotated my tires for FREE !!!! So, they worked 45 minutes past closing on my car for free just because that is their belief in Customer Service !\t\n\t\nI soooooo *love* Les Schwab and am so glad that after 10 years of wishing and praying for them to come to the Bay Area, that they have and that their service is still done with a great big smile !!! ...read more
