We went in and met with Shelly we explained the type of funding we had from the FASFA that I did.. She said she could my parent loan reversed from being denied and also said she could us more funding (free).. She called me in June and told me the parent loan was reversed.. which is was not I had to get a co signer, but she was in a hurry for us to sign up for next year.. She started a correction on the FASFA but never submitted it. I paid her $2500.00 for nothing..She stopped replying to emails or will not return our calls. I did a dispute with my bank but she goes in and prints everything that I did so I lose that she finally talks to my husband and says she will call the bank and put a stop to it but guess what she has never done that... so I am out 2500.00 for nothing.. She also resubmitted the Parent Loan but for the wrong year after I had to make numerous calls to the college I finally figured out what was going on... Shelly is a scammer and a liar... Shelley was very rude and I would have to schedule an appointment just to ask her a simple over the phone question. I was promised over $5000 from shelley but barely recieved more than the cost of her "expertise services". The process was long and took over a year, for the amount of money Shelley "got" me I could have done on my own. I'm pretty sure Shelley is a scam and makes promises she can't deliver and charges outrageous prices for these false promises. ...read more

So many students find themselves in a bind. They are faced painful budget cuts; public and private colleges across the U.S. are raising tuition and scaling back aid.This is a double trouble for students. Times are tough! In our current economy we have a staggering unemployment rate for people ages 20 to 24, students who didn't attend college reached 20.1%. We need to encourage our students to remain in school and apply for any financial aid available to start or stay in school. Small scholarship providers are collectively reaching out to all students with free money. So where is the solution?It starts here; recognize the problem, collectively come together and make the decision to be a part of the solution, then act upon that decision and build the foundation. Our community consists of three scholarships.They are all available at this time.The awards range from $300 to $1000, depending on the scholarship. The first scholarship is a memorial scholarship in memory of my son,www.bgscholarship.com.In collaboration with others we have developed two other opportunities,www.newbeginningsholarship.comandwww.journeyscholarship.com.
