I received 8 different estimates from other moving companies. They were all very confusing. When I called the office Samantha took her time to go over every item and every charge. She was very patient with me. I felt comfortable and hired Riverside Movers. The movers were great, but my shipment didn't all fit in their truck. Samantha called another team that was in the area. When they were finished they joined us and helped us move all of our stuff in just one trip. This saved me money and a headache. Thanks to every one involved. ...read more

Sherry and Alex at the office was very pleasant. She went over the costs and gave me an accurate estimate. The movers were on time. It took just an hour longer than I expected, buy I didn't account for a long walk to my unit, which added some time. Mainly there were no damages and guys helped me assemble my bed and my desk, which I wouldn't be able to do on my own. ...read more

Moving Contract

On the day of the move your moving company is required to provide you with a copy of moving contract also known as bill of lading or freight bill. The bill of lading is a key document since it contains all of the essential terms and conditions of the agreement between the mover and the shipper and serves as a legal contract. Bill of lading must stay with the shipment at all times. The bill of lading provides information:   - Valuation options, and in turn establishes mover's liability over the goods transporting in case of loss or damage.   - Provides identification of the mover.   - Date and time of pickup.   - Date and time of delivery.   - Tariff information (local or long distance).   - Customer's name.   - Customer's pickup and delivery addresses.   - Payment methods.   - Maximum cost of the move. JOBS AND CAREERS

Jobs&Careers; at Moving and Storage Companies Since the latest economical downturn the number of unemployed citizens has been rising. There are plenty of different opportunities available in the moving industry. Depending on the size of the moving and storage company there will be many different positions that may not require much of experience. he first step to finding a job with a moving company is understanding your skills, interests and abilities that may be required by the mover. We understand that most of the people applying for work at moving companies are professional drivers, students who are paying their way through college, people in between jobs that need an immediate income, some of whom are overqualified for the positions they are applying for. Regardless of your previous experience the employers are always looking for candidates that have some experience in the field, but most importantly they are interested in candidates who project sincere interest in the position, present themselves as honest and hard working people, who are ready to learn new skills and give it a 100% effort, as well as someones that will get along with their pierce. Moving and Storage Industry has a number of position that requires different skills and educational background:                          OFFICE STAFF Bookkeepers,  Dispatchers,   Sales Persons (in office and in the field),   Customer Service Representatives,   Operators.                           WAREHOUSE STAFF Managers,  Drivers: local/long distance,(commercial and regular class),   Loaders,   Forklift operators,   Movers,   Security.   Once you understand your strengths of the past experience that may be applied in the new field, you can begin a search for a job that would be a best fit for you. There are some easy steps that need to be done to get the job you desire: - Create a resume (that shows how your past experience may be helpful in this new position), - Begin networking, - Dress for success (do your research, come by the moving office and get a feel of the dress code in that particular company),  Learn as much as you can of what expected from the position you are applying for, - Practice how to interview (do some homework on the person that will interview you). - If you are overqualified for the position you are applying for - make sure not to use any language your future boss may not understand this may make him/her feel inferior.  BEST WISHES. WE HOPE THAT EVERYONE LOOKING FOR WORK WILL FIND THE JOB OF THEIR DREAMS OR THE ONE THAT WILL HELP KEEPING THEM AFLOAT FINANCIALLY UNTIL THEY DO. ...read more

Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions Terms and conditions are written in small print on the back of the moving contract called freight bill or bill of lading. Customers need to be familiar with the terms and conditions of the contract they are signing on the move day. The best way to get to know of the term and conditions is to ask moving company to send you a copy of the contract before the move day. Terms and conditions on the back of the contract: Liability of the moving company in possession of your goods, Mover's liability for loss or damage to household goods, Ownership of goods, Builing-Fire-Watchman, General lien for charges, Notice and proof of loss or damage, Additional conditions.
