My husband was warned before hand not to trust this place. Sadly we should have listened. He bought an engine from them. And he was told at the time of sale to bring the core in anytime. They will not uphold binding verbal contracts. It took a few months to get the truck done to take the core in, and was finally was able do it today. They also will not tell you any time frame to return for core deposit refund, did you know that? Protip: apparently it's less then a month. At no time was my husband informed there was any time period to return the core. No posting about this policy, either, at least that's visible. And other wrecking yards have at least 90 days. Everytime I have called this particular store, it's an instant can you please hold. When the employees pickup, after about 30 seconds, they are short, and sound pressed for time. They had the part in stock that I needed, however, I went to Autozone and ordered it. I purchased my third vehicle from Diamond in March 2008 and have had nothing but a headache about it since. It is a used car and I appreciate that it will have quirks, but this is rediculous. During my test drive I noted to the Salesmen that there was an engine noise and a squeek from the brakes. Apparently after their mechanics looked at it and test drove it I was the only who could hear it. I was promised that these issues would be taken care of, but I was told that if they cant hear it they cant diagnose it. Yeah Right! It left me stranded on Mothers Day out of town with my children in the car, I almost broadsided someone who pulled out in from of me because the brakes failed, and now the check engine light is on. ...read more
